John Wall had arguably his best offensive game of the season on Friday night in Atlanta and he made sure to let celebrities sitting courtside know it.

After splashing in a fadeaway jumper to give the Wizards a nine-point lead with just over 3½ minutes to go, Wall turned to Atlanta Falcons receiver Julio Jones and rappers Quavo and Gucci Mane to talk a little smack.

“I told them I was going to get 35 or more and we was going to win. And we did that,” Wall told reporters at the postgame news conference.

“For the culture,” Bradley Beal, who was sitting next to Wall on the podium, added.

Wall did get more. He finished with 42 points and eight assists. Beal scored 31.

Wall’s most impressive stretch of the night came when Atlanta had whittled the Wizards’ 22-point lead down to just two. He exploded for 19 points in the fourth quarter en route to leading Washington to a series-clinching 115-99 win over the Hawks.

The Wizards will face the Celtics in the Eastern Conference semifinals. Game 1 is 1 p.m. ET on Sunday.
