Joe Rogan announces his podcast — 'The Joe Rogan Experience' — will move to Spotify in September

“The Joe Rogan Experience” will have a new home starting in September. Rogan — the comedian turned MMA host turned podcaster — announced the news in an Instagram post.

The podcast will remain available on all platforms for a few months. Near the end of the year, “The Joe Rogan Experience” will only be available on Spotify.

Rogan says he signed a “multi-year licensing agreement with Spotify.” Nothing else about the show will change. Rogan says the same crew will run the show, and the program will continue to be free. Rogan also makes it clear he is not a Spotify employee. That agreement is reportedly worth over $100 million, according to the Wall Street Journal.

“The Joe Rogan Experience” is one of the most popular podcasts available on Apple Podcasts. When the program moves to Spotify, Rogan is hoping his 9.5 million Instagram followers come with him.

On top of the podcast, Rogan still performs his duties as an announcer with the UFC. Rogan drew criticism in May for not adhering to social-distancing guidelines at UFC 249.
