Joe Flacco says Ravens should have beat the Cowboys, 'I'm not kidding'

Maybe Ray Lewis’ indirect pep talk got Joe Flacco fired up.

After the Baltimore Ravens lost 27-17 to the Dallas Cowboys, a game that was a lot closer than the final score indicated, Flacco said he thought the Ravens should have beat the Cowboys. Dallas has the best record in the NFL at 9-1. Baltimore is 5-5.

“We should beat this team. We should beat this team. I’m not kidding,” a frustrated Flacco said. “I felt very confident coming into this game, and I really feel like we should beat this team. We should beat pretty much every team we play. The couple you lose, you hurt yourself.”

Cowboys fans will probably react calmly to that.

Even though the games was close most of the way, the Ravens didn’t play great. The Cowboys outgained Baltimore 417-368. The Cowboys had 27 first downs to 17 for the Ravens. Dallas held the ball for more than 35 minutes.

But you have to respect Flacco speaking his mind, and for having confidence in his team. He seemed fairly passionate in the moment.
