Joe Flacco pleased with Ravens' offseason moves

Given his performance in 2013, it was clear Joe Flacco needed some help.

The Ravens have done their part this offseason by bringing in receiver Steve Smith, tight end Owen Daniels and center Jeremy Zuttah to aid an offense that struggled the entire year.

Speaking to The Baltimore Sun at an autograph show in Northern Virginia, Flacco said the players acquired should help the offense out tremendously.

"No doubt about it, these guys are some explosive players," Flacco said. "We're going to expect them to come in and help us out and be pretty good. These guys are ready to go and work and build on what we have.

"These guys are going to do nothing but help. They're proven players from across the league, and it will be interesting to see how they come in and fit in and help us out."

Flacco, who was named the Super Bowl XLVII MVP when the Ravens defeated the 49ers 34-31, failed to reach 4,000 yards for the sixth consecutive year. Given what he's got around him this coming season, it will be tough for Flacco not to achieve this mark.
