Want to see the world? Come play at Michigan.

That’s the message Jim Harbaugh essentially had for prospective recruits on national signing day, as the Wolverines coach unveiled his plans to take the program abroad for the next four years.

The lineup, according to the Associated Press, will likely include South Africa, Japan, Israel and either England or New Zealand.

Michigan announced last week that it would be going to Italy at the end of this winter semester, which does not violate NCAA rules since the trip will take place after finals and not during a break period.

The annual international trips won’t violate any NCAA rules either, according to Harbaugh, because they won’t include competition with other teams.

Surely, the rest of the college football coaching world will have some thoughts on this idea. It just wouldn’t be a Harbaugh innovation if there weren’t complaints from all corners.
