Japan rallied for five runs in the seventh and eighth innings Wednesday in Nagoya to defeat the MLB All-Stars, 6-5, and clinch a victory in the six-game exhibition series.

With one game to play, Japan holds a 4-1 series lead.

The MLB All-Stars built a 5-1 lead at Nagoya Dome, in part on a two-run home run by the Phillies' Rhys Hoskins, but Japan rallied to tie the score in seventh with four runs off the Red Sox's Hector Velazquez.

The Indians' Dan Otero took the loss by giving up a run in the bottom of the eighth. Yu Satoh got the win and Yuki Matsui earned the save.

Kazuma Okamoto homered for Japan.

The final game of the series is Thursday at Nagoya Dome.
