Tennessee's Jalen Hurd lit up while casually approaching the goal line (Video)

This season we’ve seen an epidemic of players getting a little lax crossing the goal line for touchdowns. And while most of these players have paid for their cavalier attitudes toward points with lost fumbles, Tennessee’s Jalen Hurd learned from his mistake in a much different and more violent fashion.

Don’t worry, we’re pretty sure Hurd lived through that hit, but might have died a little inside thanks to the humiliation.

Georgia recovered Hurd’s fumble and then turned it into a 10-play, 80-yard touchdown by quarterback Jacob Eason, who fell on a Sony Michel fumble in the end zone.

Hurd’s fumble was the second consecutive fumble by the Vols. The previous one was by fellow running back Alvin Kamara. The Bulldogs turned that mistake into a field goal.

Thanks to those errors, Tennessee is down 17-0 late in the first half.
