Jacksonville Jaguars at Los Angeles Chargers: Predictions, picks and odds for NFL Week 3 matchup

Riding high off a 24-0 shutout against the Indianapolis Colts, Trevor Lawrence's Jacksonville Jaguars travel to Los Angeles to face Justin Herbert and the Chargers.

Can Lawrence, Christian Kirk and the Jaguars offense repeat their Week 2 sucess? Or will Herbert, Austin Ekeler, Mike Williams and the Chargers rebound after a Thursday Night Football loss to the Kansas City Chiefs? The game is scheduled to kick off Sunday at 4 p.m. ET from SoFi Stadium.

Here's a look at the betting details and USA TODAY's NFL staff picks for the Jaguars vs. Chargers Week 3 game:

Lorenzo Reyes: Chargers 21, Jaguars 17

Obviously, the status of Justin Herbert will be the key indicator here. I like L.A. to win, but Jacksonville could use its shutout against the Colts as a bit of a springboard. And with Herbert at least slightly hobbled, the line is just a bit too rich for me.

Justin Herbert threw for 279 yards and three touchdowns in the Chargers' win over the Raiders.

Safid Deen: Chargers 30, Jaguars 17

Justin Herbert’s pain tolerance will be tested again in his first real start since suffering a rib cartilage injury against the Chiefs. Herbert was unable to extend himself to run a yard for a first down but was able to throw a 35-yard strike into the red zone one play later. He’ll help the Chargers take an early lead over Trevor Lawrence and the Jaguars, who will struggle on the road as they did in Week 1 at Washington.

Lance Pugmire: Chargers 30, Jaguars 17

As of early this week, the expected return of quarterback Justin Herbert makes Los Angeles more than a touchdown favorite, and the over-under is 47.5. That changes if Chase Daniel has to start, especially against a unit that blanked the Colts Sunday.

Jarrett Bell: Chargers 27, Jaguars 23

Nate Davis: Chargers 30, Jaguars 22

Tyler Dragon: Chargers 28, Jaguars 20
