Islanders Activate Star Forward, Shutdown Defenseman Ahead Of Game vs. Chicago

CHICAGO -- Prior to the New York Islanders game against the Chicago Blackhawks, the team has activated forward Mathew Barzal (LTIR) and defenseman Adam Pelech (IR).

Barzal, who has two goals and three assists for five points in 10 games, missed 21 games. Pelech, who has four assists in 11 games, has missed 20 games.

Anthony Duclair, who remains on LTIR, has missed 26 games. He had two goals and one assist for three points in five games.

Ducair is expected to return to the lineup on Tuesday against the Carolina Hurricanes.
