Pacers center Myles Turner out indefinitely with partial tear in toe
Indiana Pacers center Myles Turner is out indefinitely with an injury on his right toe, the team said in a statement on Monday afternoon.
Turner, an MRI revealed, has a partial tear of his plantar plate in the big toe on his right foot. It’s unclear when he’ll be able to return.
Pain is temporary... imma attack this rehab and we right back to it! Preciate y’all 🤞🏾🤍

Turner has averaged 12.6 points and 6.5 rebounds so far this season, his sixth in the league. The 25-year-old, who was selected by the Pacers with the No. 11 overall pick in 2015, is in the second year of a four-year, $80 million deal with Indiana.
He returned to the court on Sunday after missing six games with a minor ankle injury he suffered in their game against the Chicago Bulls earlier this month. He dealt with an ankle sprain in March, too. Turner finished with nine points and 11 rebounds in 34 minutes in the Pacers' 129-117 loss to the Atlanta Hawks on Sunday.
The Pacers currently sit in ninth in the Eastern Conference standings, two full games behind the Charlotte Hornets. They are almost certainly looking at a spot in the NBA’s new play-in postseason format. While making a run up the standings in time to secure a better position in the four-team play-in is certainly possible, an extended absence from Turner at this point in the season could make pulling that off difficult.
