I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! series 20 spoilers follow.
The first look at this year's I'm a Celebrity campers facing a twisted trial has arrived.
This preview of Sunday's premiere episode reveals that three campmates — This Morning's Josie Gibson and YouTuber Nella Rose and politician Nigel Farage — have already been dropped right into the heart of the Australian desert.
The three stars will learn that the rest of the cast are 2,000 miles away back on the Gold Coast competing in treacherous trials of their own in the jungle.
The desert team's goal will be to successfully complete trials under the scorching sun, thus granting the jungle team more time for their own challenges.
This will be the first step towards all the campmates winning stars — and, thus, food — once all of them are together in the jungle. Will both teams successfully conquer their first trial?
Prior to being dropped into the Australian desert, Josie Gibson opened up about what she's hoping to get out of the jungle... and what she hoped to avoid.
"Now I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! is fast approaching, it’s sinking in and I am feeling anxious," she said. "I keep thinking, ‘Shit, I am actually doing this’. I know I have taken on challenges for This Morning in the past but I don’t know if I’ve taken on too much here. It’s all becoming very real.
“I am dreading the insects and it’s my biggest phobia. I also don’t like spiders and I freeze normally when I see one. My family thinks I am mad doing the programme too as they know what I’m like with creepy crawlies!"
Her desert teammate Nella Rose admitted she was "terrified" of the horrors the campmates may face in the jungle.
"I’m trying to think of the bigger picture. In this life, you have to face up to your fears. Yes I might scream the whole time but I am going to think about feeding human beings and I am going to try my best," she promised.
Nella also admitted: "Who wants to eat kangaroo balls and a crocodile eye? I don’t fancy any of the trials."
I'm a Celebrity… will return later on Sunday (19) on ITV1 and ITVX.
