The Australian soap will continue its storyline with Alf, who has been struggling with his hearing, in new scenes set to air soon.
After Alf suffers a number of odd mishaps, John will begin to suspect that Alf's hearing is the problem. A concerned John, who has recently been romancing Irene, will take action in the hopes of getting Alf some help.
John calls an "extraordinary general meeting" at the surf club, where he and Alf are both members. However, nobody but he and Alf turn up to this so-called meeting and Alf immediately sees through the ruse.
Alf, furious, tries to shut John down but John persists and tries to question Alf as he knows that something isn't quite right with him. John presses the matter and asks Alf several times whether he has been struggling with his hearing.
Alf, however, doesn't react well to John's line of questioning, no matter how well-meaning it might be. Alf reacts angrily and tells John to stay out of his business and keep to himself, putting a harsh end to the conversation.
John will be left disappointed and crestfallen as his attempts to help Alf fail. Alf, meanwhile, looks set to be in denial of what is happening to his hearing as the storyline continues.
