Hibernian have acted quickly to replace outgoing midfielder Jimmy Jeggo by signing Bournemouth's Nathan Moriah-Welsh on a two-and-a-half year deal.

The Guyana international, 21, spent time in the academies of Chelsea, Reading and Brentford before joining Bournemouth, where he made two first-team appearances in the FA Cup.

Hibs have the option to extend his contract by a further year, after signing him for an undisclosed fee.

Australian international Jeggo is leaving the Edinburgh club to head back to Australia, with Melbourne City his likely destination.

Moriah-Welsh spent the 2022-23 campaign on loan at League Two side Newport County. He is also capable of playing at right-back.
