Here's how to watch Adrien Broner vs. Adrian Granados via Twitter
For the first time ever, Showtime will air a boxing event via live stream on Twitter, network officials announced on Friday. The card will be held at Cintas Center in Cincinnati on Saturday at 9 p.m. ET. Fans can watch for free by going to the Twitter “Explore” tab or going to @ShowtimeBoxing.
“With this unprecedented live stream on Twitter, we have the opportunity to reach boxing fans and casual observers everywhere with the industry-leading boxing programming we deliver to our subscribers on a consistent basis,” said Stephen Espinoza, Showtime executive vice president & General Manager.
The live stream will feature three bouts, highlighted by former four-division world champion Adrien Broner taking on hard-hitting Adrian Granados.
Broner [32-2-0, 24 KOs], a Cincinnati native and current WBA super lightweight titleholder, looks to extend his win streak to three. Granados will enter the ring with a professional mark of 18-4-2 with 12 knockouts.
WBA welterweight champion David Avanesyan [22-1-1, 11 KOs] puts his title on the line against former champ Lamont Peterson [34-3-1, 17 KOs]. Light heavyweights Marcus Browne and Thomas Williams round out the event in a 10-round affair.
