🎥 Hemp shining bright as goal and assist puts Man City ahead

Manchester City were looking somewhat flat in the first half against Aston Villa, as the midlands club went in at half-time a goal to the good.

Gareth Taylor’s side needed a burst of inspiration to turn the game around, and England star Lauren Hemp did just that.

A moment of pure invention saw Man City draw level, as Hemp headed the ball into the air to give time and space for her to deliver a hooked shot into the back of the net.

And it was Hemp’s sudden burst of pace and pull-back that provided the assist for Jill Roord to net her first goal since returning from a 249 day layoff from an ACL tear.

Man City really do look like a force to be reckoned with in the WSL this season.
