Hector Lombard Suspended for UFC 182 Positive Drug Test Result for Steroids

On Tuesday, UFC welterweight contender Hector Lombard was placed on temporary suspension by the Nevada Athletic Commission for testing positive to a designer steroid following his UFC 182 win over Josh Burkman.

Lombard tested positive for Desoxymethyltestosterone, commonly known as Madol.

“Madol has rightfully earned a solid reputation for being an extremely potent muscle and strength gaining oral steroid that is 60-percent more anabolic (muscle building) than testosterone, yet only 60-percent as androgenic (impacting male sex characteristics),” according to Steroid.com.

Lombard was scheduled to face Rory MacDonald in the UFC 186 co-main event on April 25, but the bout was scrapped when the 37-year-old’s UFC 182 drug tests results came back positive.
