Heartbreak for Senators as Penguins win in 2OT to advance to Stanley Cup

Pittsburgh's Chris Kunitz scored in the second overtime period, bringing the Ottawa Senators' storybook spring to an end after a 3-2 loss to the Penguins Thursday in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference final.

The Penguins, the defending Stanley Cup champions, now have a chance to become the first team to win back-to-back titles since the Detroit Red Wings won in 1997 and 1998.

The Senators came within one win from the Cup final after failing to make the post-season last year.

The Penguins will host Game 1 of the Stanley Cup final against the Nashville Predators on Monday.
