Healy wins NIWFA manager of the month for August

David Healy completed a Linfield double as he won the NIWFA Manager of the Month award for August.

He joins Blues forward Joel Cooper in picking up an award after the former Glenavon man won Player of the Month after the Windsor Park outfit won five of their six games in the opening month of the season.

"August was a good month for us," said Healy

"I was disappointed we failed to beat Portadown as we had a fantastic opportunity to finish the month with maximum points but no manager will complain about taking 13 points from the first five games.

"It's up to us to build on this solid start to the season."
