Halle Bailey Is Taking Her Disney Princess Duties Very Seriously in This Massive Poufy Dress

This has got to be the most dress I've seen on a single person this side of Princess Diana's wedding. Halle Bailey, attending the premiere of The Color Purple on December 6 in Los Angeles, walked the carpet in a scarlet gown with multiple tiers of pleated, heavily ruffled taffeta skirt and a crisscross halter neck on the bodice. This is just so much dress. Julie Andrews could fashion a new wardrobe for seven Von Trapp children using only the fabric from this dress.

Bailey herself looked gorgeous, of course, accessorizing with diamond statement earrings but no other jewelry. She went with a soft glam, matching her deep red lipstick to the color of the dress.

“Last night was a dream at the color purple premiere,” Halle Bailey wrote on Instagram. “I am truly so grateful to be apart of such a moving film… can’t wait for you all to see it on Christmas day.” The actor also included a shoutout to the fashion brand Off White, which created the custom taffeta extravaganza. “✨Also thank you so much to @off____white for making this beautiful dress for me I truly felt like a princess!!” she wrote. And she would know.
