Hakim Warrick has signed with the Liaoning Jiebao Hunters of the Chinese Basketball Association for the rest of the season, a source told Yahoo Sports.

The eight-year NBA veteran averaged 6.9 points and 3.2 rebounds for the New Orleans Hornets and Charlotte Bobcats last season. Warrick will be playing overseas for the first time in his professional career. Warrick hopes to show NBA teams what he can offer offensively when given quality minutes.

Warrick, 31, is locked into his contract with the Hunters (7-7) until the end of their season. The CBA's regular season ends on Feb. 16.
