GOTTA SEE IT: Charlie Lindgren Makes Insane Cartwheel Stop For Save Of The Season
WASHINGTON — There need not be any other entries; Washington Capitals goaltender Charlie Lindgren just made the save of the season against the Carolina Hurricanes.
Lindgren was facing an odd-man break for the Hurricanes when Tyson Jost collected a pass and fired home what he thought was a surefire goal. However, Lindgren had other ideas.
The 31-year-old sprawled across, and while cartwheeling, snatched the puck out of mid-air before it crossed the goal line for a highlight-reel stop to keep D.C. up 1-0.
