Golden Knights Lose Skater After First Period Of Sunday's Game Against Capitals

LAS VEGAS -- Vegas defenseman Ben Hutton suffered an upper-body injury during the first period of Sunday's game against the Washington Capitals, and did not return.

Hutton, the Knights' seventh defenseman, was skating on the fourth line as left wing to center Cole Schwindt and right wing Tanner Pearson.

Hutton, a healthy scratch the team's first 12 games of the season, was playing in his fifth game.

Hutton is in his 10th season in the NHL, and fourth with the Golden Knights. The 31-year-old has played in 513 career games and is approaching his 100-assist milestone, currently sitting at 98. He also has 24 goals.

In four seasons with Vegas, he's played 134 games, scored eight goals and assisted on 23 others.
