Golden boots! 💛 Harry Kane nets for England on 100th appearance

Harry Kane lined up with a special pair of golden boots at Wembley for his 100th appearance for England and was presented with a golden cap by Frank Lampard before the match began.

And it soon became clear that the striker wanted to mark this special occasion with a goal, and he nearly did early on but his strike was cancelled out by VAR for a marginal offside.

Two big chances later and Kane still hadn’t scored, but then in the 57th minute the skipper finally had his just reward.

That goal was his 67th in 100 appearances and meant he joined Wayne Rooney in 2014 and Sir Bobby Charlton in 1970 in scoring on the day he was presented his 100th England cap.
