Gogglebox fans can expect a new series of the popular Channel 4 in just a matter of weeks.

The show's creator Tania Alexander has revealed that the stars will start filming again next week ahead of the series launch on Friday 11 September.

The last civilian season of the programme came to and end in May as filming was able to continue throughout the coronavirus pandemic.

While the cameras were typically remote-operated, they had been rigged in place to limit contact between cast and crew.

It also saw a temporary change in living arrangements for some of the participants as Jenny was isolating in best pal Lee's caravan.

Meanwhile, Celebrity Gogglebox aired throughout much of June and July as famous faces were filmed taking in the delights of the small screen.
