Glenavon 'deserved' win against Crusaders - McDonnell
Glenavon manager Stephen McDonnell believes his side "deserved" their hard-fought 1-0 win against Crusaders at Seaview.
Michael O'Connor's goal early in the first half sealed the three points for O'Donnell's side and he was delighted with their performance.
"We deserved it, we were very workman like today we had to be more difficult to beat than the early weeks," McDonnell told BBC Sport NI.
"We had everything that we thought could win the game, we’re always confident in our approach so absolutely delighted, to a man. we were outstanding.
"The lads dug in for one another, we came here today with 12 fit first team players, we kept a clean sheet and got the three points so it’s a team that’s fighting for one another and one that is going the right way."
