Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield has a new phone number.
The likely Heisman winner tweeted Sunday night that Georgia fans had flooded his phone with messages of, we assume, positivity and joy after it was announced Oklahoma would play the Bulldogs in the College Football Playoff semifinals.
To whoever posted my cell #, bravo. But I got it changed! And to the Georgia fans that had the kind words of encouragement… I applaude your creativity

Mayfield may be the best trash talker in college football. Because he’s been able to back it up throughout his career. Given the former Texas Tech walk-on uses perceived slights as motivation, was this really the best idea, Georgia fans? We’re not so sure about the effectiveness of this.
We can only envision Mayfield getting out of bed Monday morning and clapping like this toward imaginary Georgia fans.
The two teams meet on Jan. 1 in Pasadena for the Rose Bowl. The winner will play the winner of Clemson and Alabama in the National Championship Game.
