Gary Barlow has called upon a few of his famous pals to collaborate for his upcoming solo album - including James Corden.

The Take That star and the chat show host are putting their vocals together for 'The Kind of Friend I Need' a song on Barlow's first album in seven years, Music Played By Humans.

Indicating he'd been tapping into Corden's comedic talents, Barlow told The Sun the track “was just fun from the beginning. It’s a warm, good-humoured, funny song that really celebrates British humour — in a Northern way.”

Bublé joins the singer on 'Elita' alongside Colombian star Sebastián Yatra, with the track out now. The album is set for release on 27 November.

The 2014 documentary When Corden Met Barlow saw the pair in a singalong together, a precursor to the 'Carpool Karaoke' segment on The Late Late Show.

The pair also came together to perform Take That's Pray for Gary Barlow and Friends at the Manchester Apollo, with the performance televised in 2013.
