Fulham 'close to signing' Burnley midfielder instead of McTominay
Fulham are reportedly ‘close to completing’ a move for Burnley midfielder Sander Berge.
That is according to The Athletic on Monday who claim the 26-year-old will join the Cottagers in a deal worth up to £25 million. The player is set to fly to London to complete his medical on Tuesday.
Fulham have recently been linked with Manchester United’s Scott McTominay but have opted for the Norweigan international to bolster their midfield instead.
Additionally, Erik ten Hag’s side also had the idea to sign Berge from Burnley.
Berge is set to be the fourth signing for Marco Silva this summer alongside Ryan Sessegnon, Jorge Cuenca and Emile Smith Rowe.
He is expected to help fill the void left by João Palhinha who departed for Bayern Munich.
