Frozen star Idina Menzel and Queen singer Adam Lambert have been announced as performers for Pride in London.

The pair have been announced as headliners alongside YouTube icon Todrick Hall for the special event, which will take place across five stages on July 1 at Soho Square, Trafalgar Square, Leicester Square, Golden Square and Dean Street.

Lambert will be performing new single, ‘You Make Me Feel (Mighty Real)’, which was recorded with Sigala and serves as the official song for the festival.

Menzel, who voiced Elsa in both Frozen and its sequel, will perform on the stage at Trafalgar Square; other stages are located at Leicester Square, Golden Square and Dean Street, with a brand new space introduced at Soho Square.

Also performing on the day will be RuPaul’s Drag Race UK star Victoria Scone and the West End cast of SIX the Musical, with one stage dedicated to trans performers curated by Mzz Kimberley. More information on the lineup is available on the London Pride website.

Menzel, who also appeared in Enchanted and Disenchanted, recently spoke about one regret she harboured from recording ‘Let It Go’, explaining that she changed her vocal pitch to match the character’s age.

“I came in once and I sang it and I came back another time, because they had written another part to it and they changed some of the lyrics,” she began. “I realised that my voice sounded too mature, in order to really embody this young woman that you see in the movie, so I asked them to take it up [a note].

“I don't know why I did that, because when I'm in concert all over the world and I have a cold and I just want to kill myself. As I was watching it just now, I was thinking, 'Jeez, what was I thinking there?’ But, I'm glad, because she sounds a little younger and a little bit more vulnerable,” she added.

A third Frozen film was finally announced earlier this year, with lead star Kristen Bell previously hinting that the project had been in development for a while: “I'll keep it mysterious. But I know Idina recently said she would do it. And I feel like if we're all in, like, what are we waiting for? We want it, let's do it.”

Pride in London will take place on July 1. Frozen 2 is streaming on Disney+, and available on DVD, Blu-ray and 4K. Tickets for the West End musical are available here.
