Fresh Off Stunning KO, Uriah Hall Steps in for Michael Bisping at UFC 193

Fresh off of his stunning spinning back kick, jumping knee knockout of Gegard Mousasi, Uriah Hall has accepted a quick return to the Octagon. He will replace an injured Michael Bisping at UFC 193: Rousey vs. Holm on Nov. 14 (Nov. 15 local time) in Melbourne, Australia.

UFC officials confirmed the change late Wednesday night, announcing that Hall would step in to fight Aussie Robert Whittaker at the 70,000-plus capacity Ethiad Stadium.

Hall (12-5) is coming off what is easily the biggest, most impressive victory over his career. Mousasi took Hall down and imposed his will in the opening frame of their Sept. 26 fight in Japan, but Hall turned the tables in round two, landing a spinning back kick, followed by a jumping knee, that robbed Mousasi of his senses.

That short-notice fight worked out well for Hall, so he's ready to try it again against Whittaker (14-4), who enters the bout on a three-fight winning streak. That streak includes his two most recent bouts being contested at middleweight, where Whittaker knocked out both of his opponents.

UFC women's bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey headlines the Melbourne card. She will defend her belt against multi-time world boxing champion and undefeated mixed martial artist Holly Holm in the night's main event. Women's strawweight champ Joanna Jedrzejczyk will also put her belt on the line against Valerie Letourneau in the co-main event.
