Francesca Belibi joins Candace Parker as only women to win McDonald's All-American dunk contest

Francesca Belibi continues to look more and more like a game-changer for women’s basketball, and she hasn’t even reached college yet.

As Belibi’s incredible high school career comes to a close, the Stanford commit was invited to the McDonald’s All-American Game. As one of the most electric dunkers women’s basketball has ever seen, she was a natural fit for the event’s dunk contest.

Belibi did not disappoint there.

Francesca Belibi’s contest-winning dunks

Belibi started the contest with a baseline reverse dunk, which you don’t see everyday on the women’s side.

She followed that up with a dunk off the backboard.

Belibi’s contest-winning dunk was better than both, with the 17-year-old jumping over someone in a chair to bring down the house.

The win made Belibi just the second female dunk contest winner in the history of the event, joining current WNBA superstar Candace Parker. Pretty crazy for a girl that wasn’t even playing basketball until three years ago.

Belibi is one of four five-star recruits in the espnW recruit rankings headed to Stanford this year, including No. 1 overall recruit Haley Jones. Should make for some pretty fun basketball over the next few years.
