Former Alabama wide receiver Antonio Carter’s suit vs. Florida Atlantic coach Lane Kiffin is no more.

Carter had alleged he was misled by Kiffin about the prospect of a coaching job at Florida Atlantic when Kiffin moved to the school from being the offensive coordinator at Alabama.

Per the Associated Press, Carter’s suit was dismissed in an Alabama court on Oct. 10. The suit was dismissed with prejudice, meaning Carter cannot refile against Kiffin.

Carter claimed he was used by Kiffin so the school could recruit a player it signed in its 2017 recruiting class. He said he was allegedly told that he could have a job as an assistant strength and conditioning coach but then was informed by the school he was disqualified after a background check.

Carter has been arrested four times, all for offenses that ended up not involving jail time.
