When this happens in a shoot-out you know it's not going to be your day...
They're often the cruelest way to end a match - especially when this happens.
Sporting Kansas City had this penalty to win their play-off match against the Portland Timbers, only to see it rebound off BOTH posts.
Saad Abdul-Salaam had stepped up for what would've been a match-winning penalty, and stroked it low to the keeper's right.

But the 24-year-old's effort hit the upright, rolled across the line, hit the other other post, and rolled to safety.
Needless to say, with Kansas City spooked and convinced fate was conspiring against them, they then lost the shoot-out 7-6.
