Flyers Reveal Starting Goalie For Wild Matchup

The Philadelphia Flyers picked up a solid 4-1 win over the Detroit Red Wings on Thursday night (Dec. 12). With this, they have now won two straight games and will look to build on it against the Minnesota Wild on Saturday afternoon (Dec. 14).

Flyers head coach John Tortorella has already announced that Samuel Ersson will be the club's starting goaltender against the Wild.

Ersson, 25, last played on Dec. 10 against the Columbus Blue Jackets. The 2018 fifth-round pick stopped 15 out of 18 shots in the win.

Ersson has appeared in 13 games this season with the Flyers, where he has a 6-3-2 record, a 2.85 goals-against average, and a .893 save percentage.
