The Philadelphia Flyers have signed RFA forward Travis Konecny to a six-year contract worth an average annual value of $5.5 million, the team announced Monday.

"We are happy to have Travis under contract for the next six seasons," said President of Hockey Operations & General Manager Chuck Fletcher in a release. "Travis has shown progression in each of his three seasons and is an integral part of our group of young forwards. His speed, skill and tenacity sets him apart in today's NHL."

The 22-year-old is coming off a career-best season in assists, and points, while also tying his career-best in goals. In three seasons in the NHL, Konecny has 124 points in 233 games, and ranks seventh among all players in the 2015 NHL Draft class in goals.

This signing marks the end of contract negotiations for the Flyers heading into the regular season with $1.17 million in cap space and a full roster.
