• A class action lawsuit against the Ontario Hockey League got the green light Thursday. The suit contends that OHL players have been paid less than the minimum wage required by law in their regions and asks for $180 million in back wages, overtime and vacation pay. [CBC]

• Pat Kelleher who has guided USA Hockey’s efforts in development since 2008 and prior to that was recruited to launch what is today known as the United States Ice Rink Association, has been named executive director of USA Hockey. • Former Penn State goaltender and recent ECHL player Matthew Skoff was issued a non-traffic citation by State College police on Apr. 21 for allegedly urinating on two people in the bathroom of a Primanti Bros. [Deadspin]

• The Detroit Red Wings are done playing hockey at Joe Louis Arena, but hockey is not done being played entirely. A group of friends from around Metro Detroit decided to honor the arena, which will likely be demolished, by renting it out for one last hockey game.
