Tennessee DB flips off Alabama fans after Vols' first TD in more than 12 quarters

We understand why Tennessee would be happy to score its first touchdown in a span of more than three games. But when that touchdown happens when you’re already down 28-0 at Alabama, you probably shouldn’t aggressively celebrate.

After teammate Daniel Bituli returned an interception 97 yards for a touchdown to cut Alabama’s lead to three scores in the third quarter Saturday, defensive back Rashaan Gaulden extended his middle fingers towards some Alabama fans.

Yeah, pretty dumb. Gaulden apologized after the game.

Gaulden was flagged after the play for his celebration and Tennessee had to kick off from its own 20. On the bright side, at least he didn’t flip off fans at his team’s home stadium like a Texas A&M wide receiver did earlier this year.

The touchdown was the first TD Tennessee scored since a second-quarter touchdown against UMass on Sept. 23.
