Disney+ has unveiled the first look at its new Christmas movie, Dashing Through the Snow, starring Ludacris.

The film sees the rapper star as Eddie, a "good-hearted man who has turned his back on Christmas due to a traumatic childhood experience," the logline reads. "At the request of his wife Allison, from whom he is separated, Eddie takes his 9-year-old daughter Charlotte to work with him on Christmas Eve, where they meet a mysterious man in a red suit named Nick.

"Eddie, who is a social worker, thinks the man is delusional and needs professional help, but when he evokes the wrath of a local politician, he and his daughter are taken on a magical adventure that just might restore his faith in Christmas."

In addition to Ludacris, the cast for the festive film includes Teyonah Parris, Madison Skye Validum, Lil Rel Howery and Oscar Nuñez. Tim Story directed the project, and the script was penned by Scott Rosenberg.

Ludacris recently reprised his role as Tej Parker in Fast X, and he could have been joined by a star of British comedy, as Daisy May Cooper recently revealed she was offered a part in the latest instalment in the action franchise.

"I'm pretty much trying to take everything I get offered, [but] the offers are drying up quite fast," she said. "I was offered a guard in one of the Fast and Furious movies that I couldn't do but it [was] literally two lines."

With the series coming to a close soon, director Louis Leterrier clarified recent comments from lead star Vin Diesel, after the actor hinted that the proposed two-part finale could morph into a trilogy.

"The one thing about Vin is, like, when he's on a press line, he will say anything to get out of that press line," said Leterrier. "And I'm kind of like him and go, 'Yeah, sure, we will go to the moon in the next one. Bye.' And then you never forget!”

Dashing Through the Snow will stream on Disney+ from November 17.
