Firebirds Extend Point Streak To Seven; Edge Gulls 3-2 In Overtime!
Palm Desert, CA – Acrisure Arena was electric Friday night as the red-hot Coachella Valley Firebirds edged the San Diego Gulls 3-2 in a thrilling overtime battle. With the win, the Firebirds extended their point streak to seven games, improving their record to 9-5-0-1. Left-handed defenseman Gustav Olofsson netted the game-winning goal in front of a raucous crowd of 7,437!

The Gulls jumped to a 2-0 lead early, thanks to a pair of first-period goals from Sacha Pastujov. Eduard Sale cut the deficit with his fourth goal of the season, assisted by Ryan Winterton.

In the third period, Jani Nyman tied the game with a power-play goal, his fourth of the season, sending the game into overtime.

Firebirds' goalie Nikke Kokko was unstoppable, making 18 saves on 19 shots to remain perfect at 6-0-0-0, while Coachella Valley dominated San Diego, outshooting them 40-20.
The Firebirds are away for a pair of games against the Tucson Roadrunners on Tuesday, November 26th and Wednesday, November 27th.
