Live scoreboard: 2 South MS teams capture South State championships, trips to Hattiesburg

The Mississippi Coast had four teams battling Friday night in South State title games, with trips to the state finals in Hattiesburg on the line.

South MS teams were competing in the Class 7A, 6A, 5A and 4A title games, with two South MS teams winning and two falling short.

7A: No. 1 Brandon 31, No. 1 Ocean Springs 13

6A: No. 1 Hattiesburg 39, No. 1 Picayune 35

5A: No. 1 Gautier 37, No. 1 Brookhaven 35

4A: No. 2 Poplarville 24, No. 1 Forest 21
