FIBA World Cup Day 7: Serbia remains undefeated, Rubio leads Spain past Italy
Nuggets forward Nikola Jokic had a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds and Boban Marjanovic added 16 points as Serbia rolled past Puerto Rico 90-47. Serbia remains the team to beat and they’ll face Spain on Sunday.
Suns point guard Ricky Rubio led the way with 15 points as Spain closed out Italy 67-60. Thunder forward Danilo Gallinari also had 15 points for Italy in the loss. Spain went 3-0 in round 1 so they are guaranteed a spot in the quarterfinals following round 2.
