Featherweight Contenders Max Holloway and Ricardo Lamas Clash at UFC 199

UFC 199 Results: Max Holloway Outlasts Ricardo Lamas for Ninth Consecutive Win

A featherweight bout between two top five ranked featherweights has been added to the UFC 199 fight card. Fourth-ranked Max Holloway faces fifth-ranked Ricardo Lamas on June 4 at the Forum in Inglewood, Calif.

The news was first reported on Wednesday’s edition of UFC Tonight, and Holloway confirmed the bout on social media.

Holloway (15-3) is riding an eight-fight winning streak and hasn’t lost since 2013. He last fought in December, defeating Jeremy Stephens by unanimous decision.

Lamas (16-4) is a former title challenger who has won three of his last four outings. He’s coming off a unanimous decision win over Diego Sanchez in Novemeber.

UFC 199 takes place on June 4 and features two world title fights. Middleweight champion Luke Rockhold and former champion Chris Weidman rematch in the fight card’s main event, while bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz puts his belt on the line against rival Urijah Faber in the co-main event.
