The injuries are not life threatening, but Bain’s family requested they not be disclosed.

“His FAU football family has surrounded him with support and will continue to do so,” coach Charlie Partridge said in a statement. “Out of respect to Reggie, his family and our team, all questions should only be directed to me. I know that inquiries may be well-intentioned, under the HIPPA law, and per the request of Reggie and his family, there is very little I can disclose.”

Bain, a junior, was a two-year starter for the Owls. He was named to the Conference USA second team last season and was a preseason C-USA All-Conference selection this year.
