Ex Inter Milan & Fiorentina Striker Remembers His Nerazzurri Stint Fondly: “I Have Good Memories”
Montenegro international Stevan Jovetic looks back fondly on his relatively brief spell with Serie A champions Inter Milan.
During his latest interview, as reported by FCInterNews, the veteran forward remembered his days at Giuseppe Meazza with a big smile on his face.
Stevan Jovetic joined Inter from Manchester City in 2015.
Though it was initially a season-long loan, the Nerazzurri purchased his signature for €14.5 million due to an obligation clause.
Notably, Jovetic excelled in his first season at Meazza.
Under Roberto Mancini’s stewardship, the versatile forward bagged six goals and added three assists in 26 Serie A outings.
However, the wheels had fallen off soon after.
Indeed, he only made five league appearances in the first half of the 2016/17 season.
After Mancini deemed him surplus to requirements, Jovetic tried to revive his career at Sevilla.
Yet, his six-month loan in Andalusia didn’t go well despite his iconic late winner against Real Madrid.
Jovetic would go on to join Monaco on a four-year contract in the summer of 2017.
Since then, he has been at Hertha BSC and Olympiacos before finally signing for Omonia Nicosia this summer.

Despite only lasting for one season, Jovetic still carries dear memories of Inter.
“I have good memories of Italy, especially Florence where I lived for five years but also of Inter,” he said.
“In our first year with the Nerazzurri, we did well, reaching the fourth place and starting to climb up to today’s Inter.
Jovetic also admitted he maintains contact with several other former Inter players.
“If I still hear someone? I have more contacts with the Slavs like Adem Ljajic, Samir Handanovic, and Ivan Perisic.”
While backing Inter to win the Scudetto, Jovetic warned his ex-team of the imminent threat in the form of Napoli.
“Yes, because they have more quality. But watch out for Napoli, Antonio Conte is someone who wins wherever he goes.”
