Jarrett Stidham is headed to the SEC.

Stidham, a talented sophomore quarterback, announced Saturday night that he has committed to play at Auburn. Stidham transferred from Baylor in July.

Stidham was a top 100 recruit 2015 and quickly moved to No. 2 on Baylor’s depth chart as a true freshman. When Seth Russell was sidelined with a neck injury, Stidham stepped in and was impressive in three games as a starter. His season ended when he suffered a broken bone in his ankle against Oklahoma State.

Overall, Stidham appeared in 10 games and threw for 1,265 yards, 12 touchdowns and only two interceptions in 2015.

Stidham opted to leave Baylor after head coach Art Briles was fired amid the sexual assault scandal at the school. He took classes at McLennan Community College this year, but did not play football.

Stidham was spotted at an Auburn practice in August and also visited campus a few weeks ago.

Florida and Texas A&M were also reportedly involved in Stidham’s recruitment.

Stidham will reportedly enroll at Auburn in January and will be immediately eligible to play in 2017 with three seasons remaining. He joins a crowded depth chart alongside returning starter Sean White and backups John Franklin III, Woody Barrett and Tyler Queen.

White threw for 1,644 yards, nine touchdowns and three interceptions while completing 65.2 percent of his passes. Franklin saw quite a bit of playing time as well, mainly as a runner. He rushed for 414 yards and two touchdowns on 10.1 yards per carry. He also had 179 yards and a touchdown through the air.

The 14th-ranked Tigers (8-4) will finish their season in the Sugar Bowl against No. 7 Oklahoma on Jan. 2.
