Evan Konyen Commits To RIT
Flint Firebirds forward Evan Konyen has committed to RIT, it was announced Friday.
A product of Newmarket, Ont., Konyen has appeared in 29 games this season with Flint, putting up six goals and 16 points.
Drafted by the Sudbury Wolves in the fourth round of the 2020 OHL Priority Selection, Konyen spent parts of three seasons in Sudbury before being dealt to the Firebirds this offseason. Over a span of 218 career OHL regular season games, he has collected 62 goals and 97 assists for 159 points.
With Konyen joining the Tigers next season, his arrival will inject even more skill into the lineup. Having produced wherever he has gone, the NCAA should be no different.
