Eastern Illinois beats Tennessee-Martin 69-56

CHARLESTON, Ill. (AP) -- Morris Woods had 15 points and 11 rebounds, and Sherman Blanford also scored 15 points to lift Eastern Illinois to a 69-56 win over Tennessee-Martin Thursday night.

Malcolm Herron scored 13 points and Josh Piper added 10 points for the Panthers (5-16, 2-6 Ohio Valley), who have won two in a row following a 12-game losing streak.

Myles Taylor led the Skyhawks (4-16, 1-7) with 21 points. Terence Smith had 13 points and seven assists for Tennessee-Martin.

Eastern Illinois trailed 35-27 early in the second half, but pulled even at 38 on Woods' basket, then went ahead to stay at 45-43 when Blanford made a layup with 12 1/2 minutes left.
