EastEnders spoilers follow.
EastEnders will introduce a new character next week, as part of Jay Brown's new story.
Jazzy Phoenix has been cast in the role of Nadine, who bears a striking resemblance to Jay's late wife Lola.
A grieving Jay will meet Nadine after a night of walking, having been unable to sleep.
He’s warmed after chatting to Nadine in the Square, but things quickly turn awkward between them.
The following day, Jay apologises to Nadine for his abrupt departure and takes her for a drink in The Albert, where they put aside their previous misunderstanding.
Nadine later invites Jay back to hers, where she attempts to seduce him.
Jay refuses her advances, but is clearly still intrigued by Nadine.
When Nadine arrives back in the Square, Jay worries about being seen with her, but can he keep this from his flatmates Ben and Callum?
When discussing the aftermath of Lola's death earlier in the year, show boss Chris Clenshaw said: "I don't think any of them will be the same again – Billy, Jay, Lexi, Honey. It'll obviously have devastating consequences for the family.
"Lola asked Jay to make sure that he always talks to Lexi about her, and she put things in place for the immediate future.
"Billy, Jay, Lexi and Ben all pull together and are there for each other in the immediate future, but that won't last forever.
"Jay will find friendship with another key person."
EastEnders airs on Mondays - Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer.
