Early Fantasy Football pickups for Week 12: Help for playoff push

Time is running out to make the fantasy playoffs. If you’re still in contention and suffered an injury to a key contributor in Week 11 such as A.J. Green, or need to replace a struggling option on your roster, we have three players to consider.

Considering Green could be done for the season after reportedly suffering a hamstring tear, Bengals receiver Tyler Boyd will be a popular add. He scored his first career TD after Green was carted off and finished Sunday with six receptions for 54 yards against the Buffalo Bills. Boyd has a moderate athletic profile, but solid hands and route running ability. He’s currently owned in just 4 percent of Yahoo leagues.

Chris Ivory has been featured in this space before but he’s still only owned in 48 percent of leagues. After being a non-factor for the first half of the season, partially due to injury, he has went over 100 total yards in two of his three last games. With T.J. Yeldon suffering an ankle injury on Sunday, Ivory finished Sunday with 114 yards on 23 touches.

Tight end has not been immune to injuries either. Rob Gronkowski missed Sunday’s game and Zach Miller suffered a broken foot that will likely end his season. The Giants’ Will Tye is a streaming option in deep leagues. He caught just two balls for 12 yards a win over the Chicago Bears, but he did find the end zone and has moved ahead of Larry Donnell on the team’s depth chart. Tye has a great matchup against the lowly Cleveland Browns in Week 12. He’s owned in 2 percent of leagues.
