Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Nigel Bradham was arrested after allegedly assaulting a worker at a hotel on Miami Beach last Thursday, and has been charged with aggravated battery. Bradham reportedly turned himself in to police on Monday.

According to the police report, Bradham and friends got into an argument with an employee at the Hilton Bentley. The “verbal altercation” was a “result of the victim’s speed of service” after Bradham reportedly had purchased an umbrella.

Bradham then allegedly, “without provocation, struck the victim in the nose with a closed fist, causing the victim to fall to the ground.” Bradham’s friends then got involved in the attack before fleeing the scene.

The hotel employee sustained “a broken nose, contusions to the face and a laceration to the lip,” according to the police report.

According to NBC Miami, who first reported the news, “A phone was discovered at the scene, which was turned over to police as evidence along with a receipt showing Bradham paid for the umbrella with his credit card.”

The former Florida State linebacker, who lives in South Florida in the offseason, was expected to report to Eagles training camp Wednesday along with all other veterans. Per Bowen, that hasn’t changed.

Bradham has a court appearance scheduled for Aug. 2, which is the Eagles’ first training camp off day.

The Eagles issued the following statement:

“We are aware of the incident involving Nigel Bradham in Miami. We have been in contact with Nigel and the proper authorities. Due to the ongoing legal process, the Eagles will have no further comment at this time.”

Bradham, 26, was signed by the Eagles this offseason after four years with the Buffalo Bills. He was expected to start at strong side linebacker.
